Singing and dialogue, choreographic conscience and fighting, acrobatics and manipulation of objects, figurative sensitivity and anthropological design of the characters, formal precision and super-human warmth of the interpretation: all these are the skills of the actor of the Chinese tradition. A theatre that has been defined "Opera" with a certain restrictive approximation, though this definition is justified by the "lyricism" of the music, of the stories and of the librettos.
Among the Theatre/Operas of the various regions of China, the Beijing Opera is the most complete as far as the variety of used languages is concerned and probably the most rigorous and precise as far as style is concerned.
